Center fielder Carlos Beltran cracked 3 homeruns and had 6 RBI as the seemingly unstoppable Santa Fe Trailer Bitches beat the SSB SSB Tar Heels by a score of 13 to 6. Beltran enjoyed a great day at the plate. He popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 2nd inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 4th inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 55th of the season) in the 5th inning and doubled which plated a run in the 6th inning. Santa Fe had 13 hits for the afternoon while SSB had 10. Kelvim Escobar(12-7) got the win allowing 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Javier Vazquez(8-8) was the loser. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 3 and 1/3 innings of work. 'Beltran led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Escobar said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'
